Strescon Industries Limited is a Limited Company, which is incorporated as late as 1978. The company is a private company, which is serving the Indian Railway for past 25 years in the railway circuit. Strescon Industries Limited is an ISO 9001:2008 Company that has pioneering presence in the field of manufacturing of Pre Stressed Concrete Sleepers and it’s after sales services in India.

Mr. Sabayasachi Munshi, a committed, dedicated, honest and trustworthy business man and a visionary, had setup Strescon Industries limited's (SIL’s) first plant in Chamagram, Malda district in 1990, which has two units where the company manufactures both the straight line and turnout sleepers. From then on, under his visions and leadership the company has reached an unimaginable status, which has helped the company to reach to greater heights in India and aboard.

Strescon Industries Limited has been manufacturing Pre Stressed Concrete Sleepers for Railways and supplying these sleepers to its clients - Indian Railways, Eastern Railways and Private Companies. The plant at Chamagram, West Bengal and Silchar, Assam is a R.D.S.O recognized plants. Each sleeper manufactured is tested and certified by Railway Inspector and R.D.S.O, Lucknow for its quality.

Strescon Industries ltd, which is head quartered in Kolkata, has diversifies into Flash Butt Welding for welding of Railway line and as part of the backward integration, Strescon is also setting up a High Temperature Superconductor (H.T.S) Wire manufacturing plant in Alampur, West Bengal.

It has also done immensely well in International market like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Thailand, Australia, Bangladesh, etc. The group is a market leader in its produce both in India and abroad. With its highly developed team, Strescon caters to business development of India, Infra development of the Group, planning and execution of plans. The group has also spent much of its time developing and restructuring its team policies and management, so that it can cope up with the fast developing India and compete with companies from around the world.

The group has also done the following jobs apart from their main frame.

1. It has successfully done fabrication jobs in India.
2. It has been playing active role in development of Indian Railways Scenarios.
3. Laying of Turn out Sleepers.
4. Fabrication works for setting up a sleeper manufacturing plant at Choksikander, Uttar Pradesh.
5. Strescon has supplied to private companies like NTPC, Ambuja, etc for setting up railway line in and around their factory.

The group has been into International Works, which includes supplying PSC Sleepers to Bangladesh under IRCON, setting up manufacturing plants in KSA under Saudi Bin Laden and supplying sleepers, setting up plant to manufacture and supply to Etihad Railways, Abu Dhabi and supplying sleepers for Haramain railway project, Saudi Arabia etc.

SIL has also assisted and encouraged many private as well as public industries in their forms of businesses and CSRs. The group has strongly joined and bounded itself with PCM Group (www.pcmgroup.co.in), Siliguri, so that it can diversely setup and grow rapidly in India and the whole world. SIL has also setup benchmarks both in terms of setting of plant and execution of contracts and quantity. It has exported a huge order of Monoblock as well as Turn out Sleepers to Bangladesh Railways.
